Mae Anne Avenue climbs west from McCarran Boulevard toward Somersett, and our northwest location sits on it at number 6100. For drivers in northwest Reno, Somersett, Mogul, Verdi, the university area and the Old Northwest neighborhoods, it is the closer of our two locations, and it stays open an hour later on Saturdays than Reno South.

What happens when you pull in
Drive into the bay and say you are here for a smog check. Most cars and light trucks from 1996 on get the OBD plug-in test, which the DMV says usually takes five minutes or less, and older or heavy-duty gas vehicles get the tailpipe test. Your result goes to the DMV electronically, so you can renew the same day.
